As you know, I have been an admin at CastleCops for some time. During this last week it all ended when I resigned due to a number of issues.

On reflection, there are a number of reasons why life changes rapidly and these aren't entirely anyones fault but this last week has shown me that despites ones intention to be and do the best, sometimes thats just not where it is at...

An Amazing Weekend

The article posted on CastleCops has attracted a huge amount of interest. For some reason How Do You See Me? has had over 4,000 reads this weekend.

While my readers have been increasing week by week, the last two weeks has seen the graph go straight to the ceiling. Last weeks article The Scenario attracted over 2,300 reads during the week.

This all looks good in theory and it would be good to continue to see this ramp up.

After spending many years in the Building Industry, the aching bones needed a rest and a couple of thumb nails (not the image kind) needed repair, which lead me to come up with a new approach.

After reading an article in the local paper on Coaching and its benefits, I changed tack, trained as a Coach and moved over into the Coaching field.

My next requirement was to get a website and not knowing anything about what was required, hunted around for a host that would cater for my zero knowledge. It didn't take me long to discover that very few, if any, existed but I did find out enough info to consider hosting websites myself. I started out as a reseller and now operate through managed servers in Australia and the US. After a need was established for a Content Management System, I fell head over heels for PHPNuke and the rest, as they say, is history. I have a business that hosts websites around the globe (the aussie dollar conversion helps no end)

The Coaching demand is such that I now have clients in the US, Australia and New Zealand and "in the Company of Coaches" delivers coaching services throughout Australia. As much of the coaching is done via phone, location is not an issue. My clients are from all walks of life with one thing in common... they see that they can improve their situation. As well as the coaching I run a series of workshops on business initiatives for small business

In my spare time, I attempt windsurfing (board sailing), Pretend to be a stand up comic, and follow the New Zealand All Blacks and the Australian V8 Supercars

For the last few months I have become involved in furthering the development of e-learning

What is elearning?

Overview
Elearning. Distributed learning. Distance education. Computer based training. Online learning. And the list grows...

So, what is elearning? Very simply, elearning is utilizing technology to increase the effectiveness and accessibility of learning. This may include CD ROMs, or a discussion thread to enrich a regular classroom, or a course delivered completely online. All other terms related to learning are subsets of elearning.

Elearning is the use of any type of technology in improving learning. At it's most basic level, it is email...at it's most advanced, it is an online course (or simulation, or virtual reality, or...well, you get the point)

There is a great model of what it all entails at elearnspace.org

This model fits well with the coaching and also the website development due to all the contact being via email.

I have set up a section on this workstation to keep tabs on the elearning subject ITS HERE
