4/ Now you have your Domain Name, the next step is to find a place to store all your files (your web site) up on the internet. This is what is referred to as HOSTING. Hosting is more than just putting your files up on the Internet though. Most hosting companies also supply you with your very own email account that is ***@yourdomainname as well as a great array of extras. Some of your choosing and others come with the hosting account. When you pick a company to host your account, you will be asked to transfer your domain name to their servers. The hosting company will give you a set of reference points called DNS (Domain Name Server) Once these are set with your domain name, the internet will be able to find you. You don' 't have to have your web site up or available, though, to be able to receive emails from your domain name. Once your DNS has been set at the hosting company, you will be able to receive emails at all times.
