As one of the first up jobs to getting Postcode Trading up and running in a superior fashion, we have started a blog at woopwoop.biz
This is where we will keep everyone informed of what is happening at the Postcode Trading site before it happens. Some of the ideas yet to be implemented include Foundation Membership giving these members great deals and some other nice things.
There are a couple of posts over there already so head over and have a look. You can get to the main trading site really easily from there too.
For those that arent sure what woop woop means, there is a good definition here!

Quite amazing how the famine can turn to a feast in the blink of an eye.
After finishing the house, it was quiet. People kept explaining to me that it was the financial downturn, the rural drought, and even the local community doesn’t need your type of skills. Throughout it all I have been carrying on with my successful actions… letting people know I could help them, keeping in touch with my network, being ready to do what was asked for.
Just a comment about “my network”. I think that “network” is such a belittling word as it conjures up so many connotations that don’t actually reflect the people involved in the relationship. Each person in this group, has a unique set of values that align with mine. Far more important than the run of the mill network!
but back to the case in point… this last week the results of the successful actions have started to show through. I am building towards a full schedule quietly and quickly.
The results prove out that it is important not to be sucked in by the “think” going around. Stay on track even when you are feeling down in the dumps.

When visiting websites around the traps, there are so many that offer newsletters. It raises the question, How many people sign up for them?
I have the facility on my websites too, they attract a response and I send out my news. It does keep people in the know and your face in front of the subscriber.
I did a google search “suscribe to newsletter”, There were 223,000,000 results for this and I had spelt subscribe wrong
When I searched on google “subscribe to newsletter”, there were only 212,000,000 results. Does that mean that there are 11,000,000 spelling mistakes? Either way 223 million is one hell of a lot of newsletters floating around the planet. I wonder what they all say?
Anyway you can sign up for mine HERE, and HERE.

A new venture into the world of classified trading.
Local communities now have the ability to buy and sell in a safe and relaxed environment online. Postcode Trading is a classified ad site that targets your local community around Australia. Sell local or Australia wide.
So much easier than ebay.
Now, before this turns into a advert of its own, its well worth a try. For anyone who doesn’t believe me, contact me and quote this post and I will give you a free try. Can’t be any fairer than that!!!

So, take your time, explore and we will offer you some different approaches to make life like you consider it “should” be. Making your business a part of your life instead of the monster that takes up your time!!!

So, business has begun but the honeymoon period is nearly over?
Just how do you keep the customers rolling in the door. After the initial burst and flurry of activity, have you managed to secure a dedicated customer base? ok now is this customer base enough for your business to survive into the coming months?
This is the moment of truth, you are starting to become aware of the reality of all businesses. Survival!
I have heard it said that you have to spend as much time procuring customers as you do working in your business. Lets just say that if you did this, you would have a pretty good customer base, especially if you were adding them to your dedicated followers.
As much as you may flinch at the idea of becoming famous, the more famous you and your business can become, the more you will reap the benefits of a successful business. How do you become famous?
Now that is the secret that no one tells you. It will revolve around some or more of these points
Become an Expert
Gain Credibility
Product desirability
Removing customer problems
Easily Found
Your X factor
…and there are others but finding answers around these items will start you in the right direction

I have just rebooted the server where http://billgray.biz sits. Servers are temperamental sons of riches. There is very little that goes wrong as, over time, the technology and community has done all in its power to automate problem handling but sometimes, just sometimes, it all turns to custard
So when your site goes down, in the short term, don’t worry. When a server goes down, alarm bells ring and the automated problem responses get into gear. Servers fire out emails like they are going out of fashion and it would be very surprising if no one knew of the dilemma.
If it is a problem, 9 times out of 10, the issue is already being handled. It sometimes just takes a little time to get it up and running again.
As you can see, its all up and running again. It was a simple matter of rebooting the system. You may ask why, why did it crash? why did that happen? I have found that asking questions like that do only one thing… cause the asker to lose sleep. Patience has a great way of ironing out all the problems
