Headed out with the full crew today and I was a little concerned about how I would go as I was pretty sore after yesterday’s ride.

I shouldn’t have worried. Usually I am waiting for my second wind to kick in on the first kick up out of Candelo but I held myself together right up the long stretch and was feeling pretty good at the top. The climb up Myrtle went extremely well and I was surprised to find myself up close to the front.  It had nothing to do with the fact that there may have been some rider with a lower threshold due to some celebratory drinks last night.

Of course, the main ride (read fire trails, technical stuff and awe inspiring, grit your teeth, riding) starts from the top of Myrtle so I was not getting ahead of myself at all here.  Smashed it really. Hit the groove and went like the clappers. A good ride done and dusted.
